10 Leadership Qualities from Dune:
The first book I read upon graduating college was, "The Leadership Secrets of Attila the Hun". I read it because someone said you should read what your boss reads. So I did and thus began a fixation with "Leadership Secrets" books from Martin Luther King to Colin Powell.
What made "Attila" intriguing was how it stood out above the "Leadership Secrets" books with anti-hero sentiment and an unusual protagonist. So now I am setting out to touch on the "Leadership Secrets" or "Qualities" of my favorite pop culture icons. We begin with the massive book and movie series Dune:
American Science Fiction author Frank Herbert published the first of his genre-breaking book series Dune in August of 1965. Now in its recent incarnation as the second of a two-movie series, the latest installment Dune 2 has racked up over a half billion dollars in ticket sales. Whether you watched one of the movies or series or read the books, there is a lot to learn and glean from all of them. So here is a list of 10 Leadership Qualities from the Dune universe that can help spice up anyone's career focus.
